Q. – What if I purchased the wrong size or just don’t like what I bought?
A. - We are confident that you will fall in love with the comfort of bamboo. In fact, if you buy something from us, and you are unhappy with it within the first 30 days, we will exchange your product, and ShirtsOfBamboo.com will pay to reship the correct item or refund your money!
Q. - Where else can I purchase your products?
A. - You can always visit us at www.ShirtsOfBamboo.com. We ship worldwide! We are also at the Saturday Morning Market in St. Petersburg, Florida from October through May. Sign up for our mailing list and we will notify you of other locations as they become available.
Q. - Can I screen print/tie-dye/etc. on your shirts?
A. - Yes! Bamboo takes and retains fiber-reactive dyes better than cotton. You can use less ink and get more vibrant colors with excellent sustainability.
Q. – How does your product compare other anti-microbial clothes such as CoolMax® or Under Armour®?
A. - Unlike other anti-microbial fabrics, which require a chemical treatment, bamboo fiber clothing is naturally anti-microbial and requires no harmful chemicals. It contains an agent, ‘bamboo kunh’, that prevents bacteria from cultivating on it. Bamboo apparel is comfortable, thermal regulating and will keep you cooler, drier, warmer and odor free.
Q. – How does bamboo compare to hemp clothing?
A. - Bamboo fiber is softer than the softest cotton, has a natural sheen to the surface and feels similar to silk or cashmere.
Q. – I need shirts for international travel. How quickly do your shirts dry on a hanger?
A. - Our 100% bamboo products dry up to twice as fast as all-cotton products.
Q. - The care tag says to wash in cold water. Can I put it in a warm wash with my socks and underwear? Does your product have to be dry-cleaned?
A. - You can wash ShirtsOfBamboo products just like cotton - cold or warm water and tumble dry. We recommend a delicate wash cycle. Take them right out of the dryer or they will wrinkle. The wrinkles generally fall right out, but it’s best not to leave them in a wad in the dryer. Our shirts can also be ironed with out any worries. Do not use fabric softener (not that our clothing needs it!)
Q. - Do your shirts shrink?
A. - Our 100% bamboo products do not shrink. Our blends that include cotton do shrink a bit.
Q. – How do your sizes run (i.e. large or small)?
A. – Some of our customers think our 100% bamboo products run a little bit to the large size so we are trying to adjust our sizing to be more true to size. Our bamboo/organic cotton blend products run closer to regular sizes.
Q. - Are your dyes good for the environment?
A. - We use the lowest impact dyes that are available in the U.S. for production.
Q. –What about your products that are made in China? What are the working conditions like in the factories ShirtsOfBamboo purchases from?
