Green funerals with cardboard coffins and bamboo urns make for eco-exits.

Great AP News article which starts:
LONDON: It’s no longer enough to live a greener life — now people are being encouraged to be environmentally friendly when they leave the Earth too.
Cardboard coffins, shell-shaped urns and fireworks that can be packed with people’s ashes were met by smiles at the Natural Death Center’s Green Funeral Exhibition Saturday in London.

I honestly didn’t want to comment on this post, but I couldn’t find anywhere to post a new blog, so here goes:
I got some shirts from you at Langerado, and just purchased one for Granny, needless to say, I really really do LOVE the product, but WHY do you have to have it “made in china”….it will most likely keep me from purchasing any more from your company, as long as China keeps Tibet under it’s thumb, i refuse to help them profit. I hope you understand. There has to be some way for you to maybe EMPLOY people in THIS country…? hey, it’s just an idea. Thanks for listenin

We are listening, and trying. On our web-site, each of the product pages list the country of origin. As much as we try to have our products manufactured in the United States, we cannot get the quantities that we need domestically. If you see a product listed as Made in the USA — that product will have been knit, dyed, cut and stitched in South Carolina.
Shirts of Bamboo has visited the plants that manufacture our products imported from China specifically to check on working conditions. You can find more information on this here on our web-site here: http://www.shirtsofbamboo.com/social-accountability-i-8.html and more information in our FAQ section as well.
I agree that this should be a separate post on the blog. Please look for one in the next couple of days.
